About The School

The existence of Al-Irshaad school was dated back to December 2006, when the school was running the Kindergarten and Nursery classes with the limited/total number of 3 boys and 5 girls all over the first week of establishment but with the increase in the total turn out numbers of enrollment of pupils, the school was given approval to run Nursery classes in 2009 with reasonable large number of turn out. In 2011, the ministry of education in the state considered the approval of it Primary classes necessary as requested by the school management. In 2015, there was a move to be running Junior Secondary School, after long time consultation and deliberation with the parents. The impetus towards this establishment was to continue fostering students academically, morally and spiritually. To accomplish this mission, the school went ahead to secure 4 plots of land purposely for this establishment. In 2016, the establishment of Junior Secondary school was not only come to being but also recorded a reasonable number of 5 boys and 8 girls in the first week of establishment. In 2022, the ministry of education in the state considered the approval of it Junior Secondary School Certificate, which is known as Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). In 2018, the establishment of Senior Secondary School was not only come to being but also recorded a reasonable number of 4 boys in the first week of establishment. On 22nd of October, 2023 the school got government approval for National Examination Council (NECO) and recorded total number of 7 candidates for it first year NECO examination. On the 19th of December, 2023 the school got full approval from the Federal Government to run West African Examination Council (WAEC) for Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), making AL-Irshaad Comprehensive College among the few secondary schools in Ikirun and it environs to run West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
